Our Local Park

Our local park is just like every other city park in some ways. The structure is identical. It's like Honolulu got a great deal on the structure and so they made every playground the same. The only things that change are location, shade amount, and unfortunately graffitti amount. Ours is horrible so there may be some graphic language in some of the below shots. The sad thing is that it is used as a school playground as it is connected to the school by a long ramp. The writing all appears to be done by elemetary age kids too. It's like bathroom wall type stuff, that kids think big kids do so it is cool. The result is a crazy mess. Right now Danya can't read and she just points to the letters and says "A...B..CD's" But it won't be long and some of these letters will start to make sense. It's a 2 minute drive or 15 min walk to this park, to the other parks it is a 15-20 min drive. It's sad that I can't just walk to my local park without being infuriated.

The Good news about the park is Danya loves it. She would play there all day if I let her. Did you notice her doll. Remember this post I told you she never goes anywhere without her snap n style babies, here is proof. She loves these dolls. If anyone knows how to wash doll hair and have it come out soft like it started please let me know. They are getting rather nasty.
