Our Neighborhood

We have some pretty awesome neighbors. I love our street. 4 doors down lives Tutu. She has alsheimers and her kids, grandkids and great grand kids help to take care of her durring the day. The other day the grandkids and great grandkids were outside playing in the pool.
In the morning we went over to play with them and then after nap we went back!
This was awesome for me because I got to talk with another Momma, but it was also great for Danya because she really HATES being stuck home with no friends.

Plus Great Uncle gave her an ice cream cone for snack, can't beat that.

There was lots of silliness and a baby, which made the fun just skyrocket. Danya has been quite baby obsessed lately. She told his Momma that, " You have a gorgeous baby auntie." Thank you Fancy Nancy.

Later Danya was done playing with Momma and Daddy for the night and insisted on going out front to play, and see if Ryan was outside. He was and so the playing began. They rode bikes and had a really good time. Ryan and Danya will be spending a lot more time together as he is going to be at our house during the day once school starts next week.

And of course you all know about MAK or Maylene, she is the one that helped me conquer the bush a few months ago. We haven't planted anything in it's spot yet, and the front looks rather plain right now, but soon this will be my flower garden. The allergist told me to watch out for the grasses, but didn't say anything about roses. I plan to have roses, tuberose, and plumeria out here. It will be my sanctuary.
Since these yard chairs didn't sell in the Garage sale I repurposed them in the front yard as this little rose garden tea nook. It's quite cozy. Yep those are old louvers on the table to make a top for it. Upcycling at it's best. The rustic look is quite quaint right here, where it had been annoying where the kids were pealing the paint off in the back yard. It also gives me a place to sit while Danya and Ryan wear each other out in the evening. I'm pretty excited about it, and while this front yard transformation has cost some hours, sweat, and pounds so far the only thing we've spent money on was getting rid of the trees and bugs. Not bad. Just you wait to see what's coming next!
