Growing up and cookies

Someday Danya will hate this photo, but it represents how much she has matured in the last few months. At Christmas time, the last time I made sugar cookies, she learned that Dough-dough is good to eat. It was hard to roll out the dough when a certain little miss kept taking chunks of it and running. Well since everytime I make bread she is right under foot asking to be picked up. She knows what bread dough looks like and what the dough hook attachment looks like, well Thursday morning we were going to another mom's house for a game club. So we made sugar cookies to share. I started mixing the dough and true to form she was right there being asked to be picked up. I pick her up, she looks into my eyes and says "mmmmm, dough-dough cookies!" I smile acknowledge that she is right and put her down. Of course you know sugar cookie dough must cool before you can use it but 2 year olds think this is a travesty. So for the first time ever she got to lick the beater. This picture pretty much sums up how much she liked that, don't you think?
