A little Tour

Danya's new bedding is done and so I thought I would post what her room looks like now. Baby toys are gone for the most part to be replaced by big girl toys. I made the bedding and stuff. I'm still not sure if the yellow sheer will stay up or not. First, here is a virtual tour video, then I will show photos of the details.

This is something that my wonderful sister Michelle made me while I was in college. For the most part it weathered the move well. The hooks no longer have french peas on most of them but they still work. Danya's friend Nyezha has taught her how to play dress up. Now Danya spends a great deal of time dressed up.

The east end of the room.

The west end of the room.

Monkey from Uncle Hung. He seems to be holding on to the bed for dear life.

Danya's new bedding. I had to fight the sewing machine but now it's done and looks great. No she isn't in a toddler bed yet, but the crib changes so easily that we take off the side during the day so that she can climb up and read and snuggle with her bears and lamby.

Like this. This was right before lunch. I was cooking and I went to go get her from her room thinking I would find her reading, but instead she had found one of the nuks she had hidden and was getting dagerously close to putting herself down for nap, but then she heard the word lunch and she was up and ready to eat.

Nothing is wasted. I had some extra of the bed skirt fabric so using an empty box and some tape I made a piece of "art" for the wall. It is very tiny in the space. I hope to replace it eventually but I haven't found what I'm looking for yet.

Another nothing wasted project. I had just a little extra of the underside fabric from her bedspread so I made alphabet letters. I'm not sure where they will end up, but for now they decorate her door.

I hope you've enjoyed Danya's little room tour.
