Happy Birthday To Danya!!

One year ago we were in the middle of a crisis as we welcomed our little girl, fragile as she was into our lives. Today our robust little girl is running me off my feet. The days of walking slowly are past and now she finds herself moving with amazing speed. Danya's birthday started just as any other day. We ran a few errands, dropping off stuff at Savers and such and then we had a very special job to do.

Thank you to everyone who donated sleepers for the hospital. After our morning nap we went down to deliver the gift to Kapiolani. We recieved 20 sleepers and a few homemade hats in some amazingly small sizes. The nurses were so happy about these because some of the babies are so small. I also delivered some inspirational romance novels for the moms in the pumping room. The nurses were so happy to recieve such a gift. Danya just amazed those who were there when she was there a year ago.

After we delivered the gift Danya had to have some blood work done as a one year check up. The tech who drew her blood was amazing. We haven't had anyone entertain Danya so well when taking blood ever and we've had a lot of blood drawn. Danya laughed instead of crying and had a great time. This photo was in the waiting room.

Then we went to pick up Daddy at work. We were early so instead of just waiting outside we went up to the office to visit. Everyone came out to see the big girl. She is so social that everyone is her best friend. It was a very fun time. I think the last time we visited John at work she was about 6 months old, maybe less, now well she's quite a bit more busy.

Then it was off to home for a nice quiet dinner and early bed time. A bit too much excitement.
