Therapist update

Gerlie our PT came on Friday. I've been a bit concerned because Danya won't roll over. Well we know she can do it and she has been rolling to her tummy she just won't roll back. Anyway it is time for the 6 month review of her case and so they were filling out her chart again. Danya is actually ahead in a lot of different areas. She displays object permanence and toy preference both of which are 9 month skills. She also displayed her new trick of walking along the coffee table to get at what she wants. Yikes! This we discovered quite by accident when another little girl who is 12 months old was over for small group and was doing it. Danya wants to be a big girl so she fussed until I stood her up. Then she stood unsupported next to the coffee table holding on. The other little girl put one of Danya's toys on the table and Danya decided she wanted it and so she "walked" over to get it. Gerlie of course doesn't want us to encourage this quite yet because it is good cognitively for them to crawl first but WOW!
