Halloween Adventures

On Saturday morning we woke up extra early and got to our local Chuck E Cheese to participate in a costume contest and trick or treating.

Danya had no patience for the costume judging, but since the judges had no idea who we were anyway so I'm not sure it would have made any difference. Danya just wanted to go and play at Chuck E Cheese.
She just loves the rides, and games. It was a lot of fun, and even though the judges had no idea many of the parents knew exactly who we were.

Then on Sunday night after a very successful trick or treating adventure Saturday morning, she was more than ready for the big night. Here we are waiting in the garage for slow poke mom and dad to be ready to go.
A couple doors down is Uncle Jonathan's house. Danya walked right up, and with a big smile she got her first treat of the night. Then it was off to the next house.
She is a very polite trick or treater. She always said "Please can-a-have trick or treat please" and because she was so darn cute when she said it she often inspired people to double their offering. Then she always said "thank you" with no prompting at most of the houses.
I invite you to follow this link( http://webcontent.harpercollins.com/images/om/sz/PDFS/fn-readtogether-fn.pdf ) and go to page 8 of the pdf file. On it you will see Fancy Nancy's parents, as well as Fancy Nancy herself. Then look below and see how committed John and I were to being authentic. We had a ton of fun being Dapper and Gorgeous for the day.
