This weekend as we were doing lots of yard work, we trimmed our crownflower tree. A few months back we cut off the top that had died, after doing that the thing went nuts sending up new shoots from the bottom. The butterflies came back, and so did flowers, lots and lots of flowers. Well we were able to cut enough branches and "harvest" enough flowers to make a lei for John and Papa Valera. Ofcourse they worked so hard on Father's day they never had a chance to wear them. Danya thought putting the flowers on the needle was fun! We counted up to 10 many many times as we put flowers on the needle. It was a fun a beautiful way to learn this weekend.
