2 Year Photos

For those of you who see me on facebook you know that Pictures didn't go quite as expected. We started the morning in our usual way around the house. The photo studio didn't open until 10 so we played, painted, and had a really good morning. She cooperated while I braided her hair, actually wanted to wear the dress I choose. Over all it was going amazingly well at this point. We went to K-mart, where the studio was located, a little early so she could walk around and get her curiousness out of the way. The photographer was 5 min late, but oh well traffic. Danya went right into the studio, she didn't have any fear or whine, nothing. I sat down on the floor near her, because I knew she would be up and down out of the chair several times, and need to be put back. The photographer stood behind the camera and said, "look over here baby. Smile" with very little emotion. I was still. In my head I thought "what!!!" This was even worse than the last time when we tried Walmart's studio. After about 10 min of this I gave up and started trying myself but by then Danya was just like I'm done. She wasn't fussy she just was like "I'm just gonna play with stuff and you all can be wierd". The photos were really washed out, like the photographer never even balanced the lights or anything. I was fuming but still sat down and reluctantly choose a photo. Upon leaving I snaped at a poor unsuspecting K-mart employee. After we got home and Danya went down for nap, again really well, I called one of the other studios and got the district manager's phone number. She was livid that this happened to me and suggested I go to her best photographer in Salt lake area. So when Danya woke up from nap her hair still looked great, by some miracle, and so we loaded up in the car and took a bit longer drive to the other studio. I can't even express how much it was worth it. The new photographer had a basic idea of what went on and expected Danya to be hard, but found that just minimal effort actually produced really great shots. So much so that I had a really hard time choosing. These shots are not ones I ordered but they are still amazing. I'll post her actual birthday photo next weekend on her birthday but here are a few to show you how much fun we had. Thanks Sami!!!!!!

Really? We got it on Clearance at Macy's after Easter. I've been waiting for something fancy enough to wear it to. Pictures seemed perfect.
